9. Report re Conditional Use Permit for property at 195 <br />Seaport Boulevard (203 -06) <br />Report: Planning Director 4/29/87 <br />Planning Director Patterson replied to questions regarding the conditions of <br />the subject use permit, whether they are being complied with and monitored by <br />City staff, the findings necessary to revoke the permit, the compatibility of <br />the use of the site with the other General Industrial uses in the area, and <br />the expectation that heavy landscaping on the sides of the property as well <br />as the front will overcome the problem of unsightliness created by the dirt <br />pile. <br />Dan Levin, Lincoln Properties, 101 Lincoln Center Drive, Foster City, <br />requested that the Use Permit for the subject property be revoked and <br />referred to photographs he presented at the City Council meeting of April 27, <br />1987. Mr. Levin said he is having photographs taken daily of the operation <br />itself. <br />CONSENSUS: Mayor Claire determined it to be the consensus of Council that <br />meetings be held with the operator of the property at 195 Seaport Boulevard <br />to see what can be done to improve the appearance of the property. <br />City Attorney Schricker advised that since a revocation of Use Permit may be <br />contemplated, members of the City Council should not involve themselves in <br />the meetings as they may be called upon to hear the matter. <br />MEMO 5/5/87 <br />10. Status report re Seaport Boulevard Landscaping Project <br />(702 -02 Munkdale Bros) <br />Report: Public Works Director 4/29/87 <br />In response to question, Public Works Director Addiego said that his latest <br />information is that the contractor for the subject project plans to commence <br />work within two days after the area has been staked and that he has 100 days <br />to complete the project. <br />City Attorney Schricker stated that he has been in conference with the <br />Community Development Director and Counsel for the contractor regarding <br />potential litigation and attempting to resolve the current dispute.
