Matters of Council Interest (conti nued0 <br />2.1 Councilwoman La Berge gave a report on "The Arts in San Mateo County ". The <br />Cultural Arts Commission consists of 15 members. The major charge of this <br />Commission by the Board of Supervisors is to look for funding on an <br />on -going basis to support the arts in San Mateo County. There are three <br />sub - committees; Funding, Audience Development, and Youth, Schools and <br />Cities. <br />The Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission presented an Arts and Crafts <br />Show at the Community Center and a free concert by the Magnolia Jazz Band <br />at the Veterans Memorial Center. Councilwoman La Berge offered <br />congratulations to the Commission. She noted also that there was a <br />performance by the Palo Alto Players at the Fox Theatre. <br />2.2 Councilman Bury reported that Councilwoman La Berge is Chairwoman of our <br />City Beautification Committee.
