Request of Building Trade Council to establish Prevailing Wage Policy (801 -01) Report: City Manager 5/27/87 City Manager Smith summarized the report. M /S: Chandler /Britschgi to delay discussion on the subject of Prevailing Wage Policy until all members of Council are available. Carried unanimously by voice vote. MINUTE ORDER NO. 87-99 3.a Councilman Britschgi referred to the proposed Environmental Impact Report regarding the new cement dock at the Port. He asked City staff to review the report, that he was interested in the fact that the cement may be shipped out of the Port by train which could possibly create an environmental impact on the streets between the Port and the railroad tracks. City Manager Smith said that staff will report back to Council for informational purposes. Councilman Stangel, member of the South Bayside Systems Authority, reported that the 1986 -87 budget was $5,373,862 and the 1987 -88 budget is $4,626,000 which is a decrease and things are looking very well at the SBSA. b. Councilman Stangel summarized the testimony he gave as member of Peninsula Ad Hoc JPA, as Vice Chairman of the San Mateo County Transit District Board and Councilman from the City of Redwood City to the California Transporati on Commission on May 29, 1987.
