ORAL COMMUNICATIONS MINUTE ORDER NO. 87 -119 Marcell a Gail l ant, 2828 Carol ina, invited Counci 1 to attend a meeting at her home on June 23, 1987, at 7:30 p.m. for the purpose of considering improvements in water pressure in her neighborhood. Mayor Claire confirmed that he will attend the meeting. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST 2. Set date for consideration of policy re prevailing wage r at es CONSENSUS: Mayor Claire determined it to be the consensus of Council that policy regarding prevailing wage rates will be considered at the City Council meeting on September 14, 1987. MEMO 6/23/87 2.1 Vice Mayor Chandler reported that he has been elected Chairman of the ALUC (Airport Land Use Committee) 2.2 Councilman Britschgi called attention to correspondence from Al Anderson, Quay Lane, objecting to the painting of house numbers on curbs without the consent of residents and the collection of "donations" of $7.00 for the work by a company known as Mateo Community Services. Councilman Britschgi reported having had a similar experience and stated his objections also. M/S: Britschgi /Bury to instruct the City Manager to rescind any approval which might have been given to Mateo Community Services and to order that they cease and desist their operation in the City immediately and stop painting house numbers on curbs.
