Item No. 2 (continued) <br />- Widen and construct ramps to /from Maple Avenue overcrossing to <br />Bayshore Freeway (Full Diamond). <br />2. Caltrain Separations: Low Priority <br />- Construction of grade separation structures at Whipple Avenue, <br />Jefferson, Main and Chestnut Streets will have adverse impacts <br />on adjacent areas. <br />3. Local City Streets - Top Priority <br />- Allocations for maintenance, rehabilitation and new construction. <br />ADJACENT AREA IMPROVEMENTS <br />1. Dumbarton Caltrain Line - More Study Needed <br />- Conversion to light rail use would reduce traffic delays at <br />existing grade crossings of city streets. <br />- A public transit connecting link to east bay areas may meet commuter <br />travel needs depending upon origin- destination survey data. <br />2. Brittan Avenue Ramps - Support <br />- Will alleviate traffic congestion at Whipple /Industrial, Veterans/ <br />Whipple and Whipple /Bayshore Freeway Interchange <br />3. Crestview Drive /280 Interchange - Support <br />- Will decrease traffic volumes from San Carlos that impact Edgewood <br />Road between Crestview Drive and 280. Will not decrease volumes <br />from Crestview to Alameda. <br />4. Marsh Road /Route 101 Improvements - Strongly support <br />- Widening 101 to 8 lanes + Auxiliary & Marsh Road overcrossing to 6 <br />lanes. Need to effect decrease indicated.
