Transportation Committee of San Mateo County Council of <br />Mayors request for information re projects for proposed <br />1/2 cent sales tax measure (per Council request of <br />10/19/87) (704-05) <br />Report: Community Development Director 10/29/87 <br />Councilman Britschgi, representative to the Transportation Committee said <br />that by November 14, 1987, San Mateo County cities are supposed to provide <br />information to the Committee on their priorities with regard to use of the <br />funds from the proposed measure for the June 1988 ballot. He asked for <br />guidance from Council in the matter. <br />Community Development Director Pawloski elaborated on information in the <br />staff report, noting that priorities should be coordinated with what the <br />Planning Commission will consider in connection with the Circulation <br />Element of the General Plan. <br />Discussion followed and Mr. Pawloski replied to questions and commented <br />concerning traffic improvement priorities. <br />CONSENSUS: Mayor Claire determined it to be the consensus of Council to <br />provide the following guidelines to Councilman Britschgi with regard to <br />recommendations to the Transportation Committee of the San Mateo County <br />Council of Mayors for the proposed 1/2 cent sales tax measure for the June <br />1988 ballot: <br />REDWOOD CITY IMPROVEMENTS <br />1. Hiqhway 84 Improvements: Top Priority, <br />- Widen Bayf ront (Route 84) access road from Dumbarton Bridge to <br />Marsh Road. <br />- Extension to Seaport Boulevard <br />- Construct interchange at Middlefield Road at Woodside Expressway. <br />- Improve to expressway standards Hess Road to Route 280. <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 47 <br />Page No. 401 <br />Reg.Mt. <br />11/2/87 <br />Page 3 <br />
