Report re removal of red curb designation at Herkner <br />Pool during non - swimming season (per Council request <br />12/7/87) (1603 -01) <br />Report: Community Development Director 12/17/87 <br />Beryl Darnell, 397 Lakemead Way, Senior Affairs Commission, requested that <br />the subject item be referred to the Traffic Committee for review and <br />recommendation to Council at a later date. <br />M /S: Chandler/ to refer the subject report to the Traffic <br />Committee. <br />The motion failed for lack of a second. <br />M /S: Brit schgi /Greenalch to remove the red curb on Madison Avenue at Herkner <br />Pool. <br />CHANGE OF MOTION: Councilman Britschgi, with the consent of his second, <br />changed his motion to removing the red curb at Herkner Pool and to install a <br />white curb the length of two cars in front of the building for a passenger <br />loading and unloading zone. <br />AMENDMENT TO MOTION: At the request of Councilman Bury, and with the consent <br />of his second, Councilman Britschgi added that the changed curb marking be <br />reviewed after one year. <br />The motion as changed and amended failed on the following roll call vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmen Brritschgi, Bury and Greenalch <br />Noes: Councilman Chandler, LaBerge, Stangel and Mayor Claire <br />4.1 Councilman Britschgi reported that Supervisors Mary Griffin and Tom Huening <br />were appointed to the San Mateo City /County Transportation Committee and that <br />the Committee endorsed the CalTrain extension into downtown San Francisco. <br />He said that all grade crossings in the County will be first priority items. <br />Reg.Mtg. <br />12/21/87 <br />Page 4 <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 47 <br />Page No. 443 <br />
