Matters of Council Interest (continued) <br />4.2 Vice Mayor Chandler reported attending a meeting of the San Mateo County <br />Emergency Services Council, stating they are concerned about medical <br />equipment caches throughout the County and the stockpiling of food at <br />schools. He said events are planned for April which is "Earthquake Month." <br />4.3 Councilman Bury reported meeting with the Giants Stadium Planning Committee, <br />noting that Bob Lurie owner of the team, described his criteria and <br />timetable. <br />4.4 Councilwoman LaBerge inquired about the joint committee with the Park and <br />Recreation Commission regarding future use of 49er facilities. Mayor Claire <br />said that he has appointed Councilmen Stangel, LaBerge and Bury to the <br />committee which will commence work after the first of the year. <br />4.5 Councilman Greenalch attended the Annual Conference of the National League of <br />Cities and reported that there is a bipartisan effort to involve all <br />presidential candidates in issues of concern to "Hometown America" in an <br />attempt to generate support for those issues. <br />4.6 Councilwoman LaBerge reported that the clean -up on Middlefield Road was very <br />successful. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />BOARD, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />5.
