PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />1. Public Hearing - Weed Abatement Program 1985 -86 <br />(Per RESOLUTION NO. 10128, 1/27/86) (1105 -02) <br />Report of City Manager and Director of Public Works 2/8/86 <br />Mayor Britschgi declared the public hearing open at 7.47 p.m. and invited <br />anyone present who wished to speak to do so. No one wished to speak. <br />M /S: Bury /Stangel to close the public hearing <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote and public hearing closed at 7:48 p.m. <br />Titles read. RESOLUTION NO. 10143 AWARDING BID FOR WEED ABATEMENT BY SPRAYING AND <br />DISKING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WEED ABATEMENT <br />(Custom Farming - $37,797.50) <br />adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />2. Public Hearing - Planning Commission recommendation to <br />rezone 2.07 acres from AG (Agricultural Greenhouse) <br />District to R -2 (Residential -- Duplex) District, 1200 <br />Redwood Avenue - Hiroshi Kitagawa and Yohko Kitagawa <br />Kobayashi, applicants (203 -02) <br />Planning Commission record transmitted 2/3/86 <br />Councilman Chandler stated for the record that when development is planned <br />for the area, the Oak Street extension should remain the same width toward <br />Valota Road, unlike the illustration which shows it to be narrower. <br />City Attorney Schricker stated that the Code specifies standard street <br />width. <br />Mayor Britschgi declared the public hearing open at 7:57 p.m <br />Philip Korchek, Hall Goodhue Haisley and Barker, architects, said that the <br />proposed zoning is consistent with the surrounding neighborhood and urged <br />approval of the rezoning. Mr. Korchek said that the illustration is <br />conceptual, and the subdivision map will address appropriate street widths. <br />Mayor Britschgi invited anyone else present who wished to speak to do so.
