Item No. 5 (continued) <br />Thomas Sisto, 161 Warwick, urged closing of the Warwick Street Bridge now <br />rather than wait for the result of the study of the Circulation Element of <br />the General Plan. <br />In response to question, Community Development Director Schroeter said that <br />the Planning Commission is in the process of appointing a citizen committee <br />to assist them in the study of the Circulation Element and that the Planning <br />Commission anticipates the complete review will take four to six months. <br />Dale Negro, 144 Oakdale Street, reported observing most speeders after <br />4:00 p.m. <br />Arthur Anderson, 36 Oakdale, said he has observed very heavy traffic and <br />speeding in the morning and evening and reported a speeding car had crashed <br />into his living room window. <br />M /S: Chandler /Stangel, to take no action at this time with regard to closing <br />Warwick Street; to direct the Police Department to enforce speed limits <br />strictly on Oakdale and Warwick Streets; to refer the Warwick Street area <br />traffic problem to the Committee studying the Circulation Element of the <br />General Plan; and to await results of that overall City study before taking <br />further action in this one area. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 86 -49) <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />6.
