Stangel <br />Budqet Study Session <br />CALL TO ORDER - 9:05 a.m., Mayor Claire presiding <br />ROLL CALL <br />MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />BUDGET STUDY SESSION <br />Saturday, June 21, 1986 <br />Municipal Service Center <br />1400 Broadway <br />Councilmen present: Britschgi, Bury, Chandler, Greenalch, LaBerge, Stangel and <br />Mayor Claire <br />Councilmen absent: None <br />Officials and staff present: Smith, Schricker, Ramchandani, Hildebrand and <br />Department Heads and assistants <br />RECOMMENDED ANNUAL BUDGET 1986 -88 <br />City Manager Smith referred to his letter of June 10, 1986, which serves as a <br />preface to the Budget. <br />Finance Director Ramchandani presented overhead projections of: General <br />Government Revenues; Taxable Sales for Redwood City; Taxable Sales for <br />Selected Peninsula Cities; Actual and Estimated Revenues 1980 -81 through <br />87 -88; Appropriation limits related to the Gann initiative for 1978 -79 - <br />80 -81. <br />The City Council considered the proposed budget for operating programs <br />generally in the following order: <br />Human services <br />Leisure, Cultural and Information <br />Community Development <br />Transportation <br />Environmental Support and Protection <br />Policy Development and Implementation <br />Intra - Governmenta 1 <br />(NOTE: Public Safety Programs and the Capital Improvement Program will be <br />considered commencing at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 26, 1986 at the Municipal <br />Services Center. ) <br />City Council took the actions below in making changes in the Recommended <br />Budget. (Where programs were reviewed and no changes made, the programs were <br />considered to be approved as recommended.) <br />Budget.
