Item No. 1 (continued) <br />M /S: Chandler /Greenalch to close the public hearing. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote and public hearing closed at 8:20 p.m. <br />In response to questions, Mr. Solloway said that the 5,400 square foot <br />addition he proposes would house shower and locker facilities for women, more <br />locker space for men, some whirlpool baths and steam rooms, acknowledging <br />that his intention is to be able to accommodate more members. <br />In response to question, Mr. Patterson said that when parking is required to <br />be provided for a business, the Zoning Ordinance requires it to be located <br />within 400' for users of the building and within 900' for employees, noting <br />that experience is that people will not use off -site parking which is farther <br />away; and that the market at Brewster Street is 350' from the proposed club. <br />M /S: Britschgi /Chandler to retain jurisdiction with regard to the subject <br />appeal and remand the matter to staff for consideration of the new <br />information provided by the appellant regarding the purchase of property for <br />parking and his request to construct additional building space; and to <br />include a request to the appellant to discover whatever might be possible <br />with regard to use of the Brewster market property for parking. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 86 -119 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />1. Carol Banqert, 3015 East Bayshore Road, #131, requested installation of a <br />traffic signal at East Bayshore Road and Seaport Boulevard. <br />Mrs. Bangert was advised that the item is included in the Capital Improvement <br />Program for 1987 -88 and that it will be considered during a Budget Study <br />Session at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 26, 1986, at the Municiple Service <br />Center, 1400 Broadway. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />BOARD, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />2.
