Tom Passanisi
Principal Planner
Redwood City

Dear. Mr. Passanisi:

Subject: 747 Southview Way project

As a resident of Southveiw Way, I am submitting this letter concerning recent
developments and frauduiant representation by Ayoub Farahyar and his architect at the
Public Hearing by the Zomng Administrator of March 20, 2002 at 9:00 am, at which I
was present.

Tis hearing was required because of the severe slope of the 747 Southview way property.
The Zoning Administrator represented that the Lot Line adjustment and the Archactural
plan and the water line extension had all been approved; I do not understand this since
these require Planning Commission Public hearings and public hearings by the Ci~
Council, which have not yet occurred.

I have been closely following the proposal for Mr Faharyar's project, and I do not wish to
impair him from completing his project as long as it conforms to agreed upon guidelines.

1. Some of us had expressed that we are not interested in widening the road beyond the
current road~ay. I would like to reiterate tlmt position by stating here that I am not
interested ha widening the road beyond the current 28' roadway that the Town of
Woodside has proposed as necessary. At the meeting, I stated my position that the
road had a serious bottleneck that needed to be remedied. I have made it clear to Mr.
Farahyar in the past that there is a bottleneck that needed to be fixed before the street
could handle another resident. Mr Farahyar has agreed with residents of Osuthview
Way that there is a bottleneck and that it would be remedied. I have a copy ora
signed letter from Mr. Farahyar to one of the residents of Southview Way which
confirms this agreement.

At the hearing Mr. 5arahyar ¢laimsd that we ali signed a letter agreeing that the
roadway did not need to be changed. He claimed he had a signed letter from all of the
residents, but could not £md it at the meeting. I have spoken to several of the residents
post-meeting and have been assured that Mr. Farahyar is mistaken or is fraudulently
misrepresenting them. The letter signed by some of the residents will not support Mr.
Farahyar's el;alms. In addition I have a copy ora signed letter from Mr. Farahyar to
another Southview Way resident cord'ming his duplicity,. Mr. Farahyer
misrepresented his position and the development at the Public Hearing.

The Zoning Admirdstrator did not inquire or seem interested in the bottleneck, in fact
he rushed the meeting thorough this topic. He, in fact had just had a private meeting
