The evaluation of the floodwall has <br />turned out to require about twice the analysis we have budgeted in our proposal. As of today we have <br />already investigated three different alternatives, concrete wall, concrete wall with light weight fill and <br />vinyl sheet piles. A <br />decision was made to provide the required flood protection along the existing outer leeve, instead of the <br />interior route inside SBSA property according to our original scope. Additional fill material will be <br />added to the top of the existing levee. In order to reduce the settlement and increase the stability of <br />existlng levee, the fill material will be added in stages. Attached is an estimate of fees for completing the <br />project. <br />Based on our previous geotechnical analysis along the western levee, the existing levee would have fairly <br />low stability conditions, especially during earthquake conditions, because of the relatively large change in <br />P:\01092~Admin\BilIing\001 -rwc-scope fees - 042902 <br /> <br /> <br />
