Stangel <br />Joint Meetinq <br />CALL TO ORDER - 7:40 P.M., Mayor Claire presiding. <br />MINUTES <br />Joint Meeting <br />Veterans Memorial <br />Senior Center <br />July 14, 1986 <br />7:30 p.m. <br />Councilmen present: Britschgi, Bury, Chandler, Greenalch, LaBerge, Stangel and <br />Mayor Claire <br />Councilmen absent: None <br />Planninq Commissioners present: Castle, Nobles, Pappas, Poncia, Villarreal and <br />Chairman Audsley <br />Planninq Commissioners absent: Murray <br />Officials and staff present: Smith, Schricker, Hildebrand and Schroeter, <br />Sennewald, Church, Patterson <br />Also present: Members of the Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown <br />Association; public and press <br />GENERAL <br />Mayor Claire noted that the joint meeting of the City Council, the Planning <br />Commission and members of the Downtown Association and the Chamber of Commerce has <br />been called for the purpose of informal consideration and discussion of the items <br />on the Agenda which will be considered in the order listed. <br />1. Update on the Downtown Plan <br />Community Development Director Schroeter distributed copies of the Downtown <br />Plan as approved by the Planning Commission on September 20, 1983 and adopted <br />by the City Council on December 12, 1983 (RESOLUTION NO. 9488). Mr. <br />Schroeter reviewed the Plan using a color -coded map of the downtown area. <br />2. Update on the Redevelopment Project Areas <br />City Manager Smith indicated on the map the locations of the Centre, Gateway, <br />Marina and Seaport Redevelopment Sub -areas and described the status of <br />development, as follows: <br />Joint.
