Expansion of Downtown Redevelopment Areas <br />CONSENSUS: Mayor Claire determined it to be the consensus of Council <br />members to direct staff to prepare a report on the reasons for and against <br />the possible expansion of the Downtown Redevelopment Areas and to present the <br />report to a joint meeting of the Planning Commission and the City Council at <br />a future date. <br />MEMO 7/17/86 <br />(Meeting recessed from 9:20 to 9:30 p.m.) <br />4. Proposed Off-Street Park inq P l a n <br />Councilman Bury, Chairman of the Parking Committee, read the July 14, 1986, <br />Committee report and recommendations which will go to Council on the July 21, <br />1986, Agenda. <br />5. Broadway Mall Maintenance <br />Director of General Services Sennewald reported on patching efforts being <br />made on the sidewalk pending decision regarding an overall improvement <br />project for Broadway. <br />Director of Public Works Addiego reported on the condition of Broadway <br />sidewalks, the needs for different kinds of solutions depending on the causes <br />of the various problems and on the plans for overall sidewalk improvement. <br />Non - Agenda Item <br />Planning Commissioner Marcia Poncia read a letter of resignation from the <br />Commission, stating her resignation is effective immediately. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business, the Joint Meeting was adjourned at 10:05 p.m. <br />JACQUELINE C.
