Item No. 1 (continued) <br />Jeff Kray 106 South Idaho, San Mateo, owner of the property, said he plans <br />to remove the duplex and garage by September and will fence the property. <br />In response to question, City Attorney Schricker said that if the proposed <br />resolution is adopted, Mr. Kray will have 30 days to remove or reconstruct <br />the buildings, noting that if the work is commenced promptly and diligently <br />pursued, the City would not proceed to demolish the building immediately at <br />the expiration of the 30 days. <br />In response to request, Mr. LaTorra confirmed that the duplex and garage <br />structure are 86 and 90 Central and that the other building at 88 Central is <br />not part of the proposed abatement. <br />Mayor Claire invited anyone else present who wished to speak to do so. No <br />one wished to speak. <br />M /S: Stangel /Chandler to close the public hearing. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote and public hearing closed at 7:44 p.m. <br />Title read. Public Hearing - Proposed abatement of unsafe building <br />at 757 Douglas Avenue (702 -11) (continued from <br />5/12/86) <br />Report: Chief Building Official and Community Development Director 7/15/86 <br />Chief Building Official LaTorra presented the subject report. <br />In response to question Mr. LaTorra said that work has been commenced, but no <br />applications have been made for permits to proceed with the construction work <br />as the estate funds have not yet been distributed and no funds are available. <br />Mr. LaTorra said he has been assured that as soon as the estate is settled, <br />as anticipated this month, completion of the work will proceed. <br />Mayor Claire declared the public hearing open at 7:50 p.m. and invited anyone <br />present who wished to do so to speak.
