Item No. 6 (continued)
M /S: Britschgi /Stangel to continue the subject public hearing open for 90
days while the owner proceeds with his efforts to bring the buildings up to
Code and that a staff progress report be submitted when the matter again
comes before Council (November 17, 1986).
CLARIFICATION: At the suggestion of Councilman Bury, Mayor Claire advised
those present that the intent of the motion is that only if the nuisance is
entirely abated at the Rolison Road buildings and the grounds are clean and
properly maintained will this proposed public nuisance abatement be withdrawn
after 90 days.
Councilman Greenalch stated for the record that he opposes the motion because
of the recommendations of Fire Prevention Officer Millen and because of the
report of the Housing Coordinator (6/4/86) relating to severe overcrowding,
stating that the 30 days which would be allowed for improvement if the
proposed resolution were adopted is sufficient.
The motion carried on the following roll call vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Britschgi, Bury, Chandler, Stangel and Mayor Claire
Noes: Councilman Greenalch
MINUTE ORDER NO. 86 -152
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Council recessed from 9:45 to 9:55 p.m.)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - --
7.
