E1 Camino Real /Edgewood Road Traffic Signal System <br />(1104 -03) <br />(continued from 8/18/86 per Council action) <br />Reports: Public Works Director 8/13/86 and 6/24/85 <br />Public Works Director Addiego presented the subject reports and replied to <br />questions relating to details of overhead projections relating to accident <br />history at the site and the possibility of creating traffic problems <br />elsewhere in attempting to respond to problems at the subject intersection. <br />M /S: Stangel /Chandler to maintain the status quo with regard to traffic <br />regulatory devices at the E1 Camino Real /Edgewood Road intersection, since <br />the recommended devices such as a "No Left Turn" sign, a median barrier and a <br />traffic signal would necessarily cause traffic congestion and potential <br />increased traffic hazards at Whipple Avenue /E1 Camino Real, at Finger <br />Avenue /E1 Camino Real and at Avondale /E1 Camino Real, and, additionally, <br />would increase the flow of traffic on Whipple Avenue. <br />The motion carried on the following roll call vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmen Britschgi, Chandler, Stangel and Mayor Claire <br />Noes: Councilmen Bury, Greenalch, LaBerge <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 86 -178 <br />Reg.
