Item No. 3 (continued) <br />City Attorney Schricker confirmed that the properties are owned by the City <br />and control of land use is in the hands of the City Council. - <br />Vice Mayor Chandler declared the public hearing open at 7:58 p.m. <br />Sharon Rinehart, 505 Starboard, in Redwood Shores, said that the proposed <br />park properties are small and provide access to waterways for all residents. <br />She urged Council to approve the proposed rezoning. <br />Robert Slusser, 541 Cringle, President of the Redwood Shores Homeowners <br />Association (RSHA) said he supports the proposed rezoning and suggested that <br />it is desirable to have the park properties zoned PF as indicated in the <br />General Plan. <br />Vice Mayor Chandler invited anyone else who wished to speak to do so. No one <br />else wished to speak. <br />M /S: Stangel /Britschgi to close the Public Hearing. <br />City Manager Smith asked that Council defer action on the proposed ordinance <br />in view of the pending negotiations relating to possible 49er use of the <br />Belmont School site. <br />MOTION WITHDRAWN: Upon advice of City Attorney Schricker that the public <br />hearing be continued open, Councilman Stangel withdrew his motion. <br />M /S: Stangel /Britschgi to continue the public hearing open until December 8, <br />1986. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. MINUTE ORDER NO. 86 -209 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />1. Simon Lasseguette, 1121 Madison, asked to be allowed to remove four <br />liquidambar street trees from the front of his property, stating that they <br />are dirty and are destroying the sidewalk.
