Item No. 2 (continued)
M /S: Chandler/ that the provision in the ordinance that
recreation vehicles cannot be parked on the street in front of the owner's
home be deleted, and that parking be restricted to 25 to 30 feet from any
corner.
Motion died for lack of a second.
During continued discussion by the Council and Commissioners, it was
suggested that at the joint meeting of Council with the Port Commission, an
agenda item be included regarding establishment of an area for recreational
vehicle storage. Also suggested was possible use of the Hetch - Hetchy right
of way for parking recreational vehicles, although this would conflict with
another proposal to use that area for use as gardens by senior citizens.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - --
3. Presentation - Proposed Redevelopment Project No. 3
Because of the late hour and the desirability of allowing sufficient time
for more thorough discussion, as well as citizen participation, Mayor
Claire requested that a short presentation be made at this time and that
another joint meeting be held in the near future on the subject. Housing
Officer Church complied with a brief slide presentation and explanation of
the proposed boundaries, and possible alternatives.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:40 p.m.
FRANCES I.
