Oral Communications (continued) <br />City Manager Smith said that the Commission's report is expected to be on the <br />December 8, 1986 Agenda. <br />City Attorney Schricker said that no appeal may be appropriate, since <br />removing trees from the street tree list is likely to require an amendment to <br />the existing ordinance. <br />MEMO 11/26/86 <br />2. See below - page 3 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />1. Councilman Britschgi referred to documents transmitted to Council by a City <br />Manager's report of October 9, 1986, providing information for future <br />decision on long range planning and budgeting and suggested a study session <br />be set up for January to consider it. <br />MEMO 11/26/86 <br />2. Councilwoman LaBerge inquired as to the traffic situation on Seaport <br />Boulevard, referring to the design for the intersection and signing and <br />striping. <br />City Manager Smith said that signing and striping has been completed as an <br />interim measure and that the intersection design report is expected to be on <br />the December 8, 1986 Agenda. <br />Director of Public Works Addiego described the signing and striping now in <br />place, using an overhead projection. In response to question, he said the <br />off -ramp from 101 is under the jurisdiction of CalTrans with whom discussions <br />are taking place. <br />3. Councilman Bury suggested that consideration be given to making use of the <br />park space next to the Veterans Memorial Senior Center for parking, noting <br />that after previous consideration, the property was not included for parking <br />pending the outcome of the 49er decision. <br />MEMO 11/26/86 <br />4. Vice Mayor Chandler asked regarding the possibility of hiring a parttime <br />clerical person to provide secretarial assistance to Council. <br />Mayor Claire reported that a parttime administrative clerk is soon to be <br />hired for the City Manager's office, and it is expected workloads can be <br />arranged to make more time available for Council needs. <br />MEMO 11/26/86 <br />5.
