Presentation by Kaiser Hospital - "Planning for <br />Health" <br />Caroline Keeber, 1150 Veterans Boulevard, representing Kaiser Hospital, <br />described their "stop smoking" policy initiated some years ago, and the <br />interest shown by other health agencies in the success of their program which <br />eventually included an education policy, publication of a newsletter, <br />signag e, and an incentive program. It was her understanding the City was <br />interested in such a program and indicated a willingness to help. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />3. Marine World Executive Park (203 -10) <br />a. Appeal by City of Belmont from the decision of the <br />Planning Commission to approve the tentative map <br />for Marine World Executive Park <br />b. Appeal by Kuman Corporation and KG Land California <br />Corporation from the decision of the Planning <br />Commission to approve the tentative map for Marine <br />World Executive Park <br />Report of Planning Commission 9/5/85 <br />Mayor Britschgi advised that staff recommends opening the public hearing, and <br />continuing the matter open for one week to give Council adequate time to <br />review the material. <br />Mayor Britschgi declared the public hearing open at 7 :45 p.m. <br />Affidavits of Publication of Notice of Mailing are on file. <br />City Manager Everett, of Belmont, and Thomas Adams, of Kuman Corporation, <br />appellants, each declared that there is no objection to continuing the public <br />hearing for one week. <br />M /S: Mosher /Stangel to continue open the public hearing regarding appeal of <br />the approval by the Planning Commission of the Marine World Executive Park <br />Tentative Map until September 23, 1985. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 85 -139 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES <br />Mayor Britschgi called attention to the letter addressed to him of September 13, <br />1985, from the League of California Cities advising that the City of Redwood City <br />has been selected as one of five nominees for consideration for the "League of <br />California Cities Helen Putnam Award for Excellence ", and has been invited to meet <br />with the Award Jury on October 7 to make a presentation.
