Request for construction approval at 3737 Laurel Way <br />Report of City Manager and Director of Public Works 10/22/85 <br />Director of Public Works Addiego presented the subject report using <br />transparencies depicting the Laurel Way properties. <br />John Scott, property owner of 3747 Laurel Way, adjacent to that of Ben <br />Hatfield, 3737 Laurel Way who has requested construction approval based on <br />the same terms and conditions as those granted Veronica Georges for <br />construction at 3733 Laurel Way, asked that he be permitted to construct a <br />home on his property also, stating he is willing to make certain improvements <br />and dedicate his portion of the private street. <br />Don Maynor, 2471 East Bayshore, Palo Alto, attorney representing the <br />Hatfields, urged that the Hatfields be permitted to proceed with construction <br />of their residence at 3737 Laurel Way, with the same terms of approval as <br />those granted for 3733 Laurel Way, stating it has been their understanding <br />that they would be allowed to do so because of their proximity to the sewer <br />line. <br />Marilyn Hatfield, 25619 Darling, Los Altos, urged that construction be <br />permitted on property at 3737 Laurel Way. <br />Ben Hatfield, 25619 Darling, Los Altos, also urged that construction be <br />allowed on the property. <br />M /S: Claire /Rhodes to delay action on the subject item for a week pending <br />receipt of additional information from staff, the Hatfields and Mr. Scott <br />regarding the background relating to construction on Laurel Way, the terms <br />and conditions relating to approval of construction at 3733 Laurel Way, and <br />the legal situation regarding the City's position. <br />Reg.Mtg. <br />10/28/85 <br />Page 3 <br />MINUTF BOOK NO. 46 <br />Page No. 85 <br />
