Planning Commission report re Historic Preservation <br />Ordinance (202 -05) (continued from 12/2/85) <br />Planning Commission record 11/25/85 <br />Community Development Director Schroeter noted that the proposed ordinance <br />amends the existing historic preservation ordinance by incorporating <br />provisions to meet certification requirements of the State Office of Historic <br />Preservation and the U.S. Department of the Interior, and described the main <br />differences between the existing ordinance and the proposed one. <br />Title read. M /S: Claire /Chandler <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 40.3, 40.4, 40.5, 40.7, 40.9, 40.10, 40.11, 40.14 <br />AND 40.15 OF, AND ADDING SECTION 40.4.1 TO CHAPTER 40 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />approved for first reading by unanimous roll call vote. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />Councilman Claire, member of the Regional Planning Commission, reported on <br />their meeting last week, in particular the issue of extension of the road <br />from Dumbarton Bridge to Marsh Road, and the significance rating given the <br />project; that he learned that in order to give it a higher priority, the <br />Maple Street overcrossing would have to be sacrificed, so rather than do <br />that, he believed it would be best to wait until next year when there may be <br />a chance to get the extension project on time line. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />REPORTS OF CITY MANAGER <br />3.
