the costs, if any, incurred or to be incurred in connection with the preparation of any environmental <br />study or report under CEQA and shall reimburse City upon demand. <br /> <br /> c. The projected costs do not include all fencing, backstops and other ancillary <br /> <br />structures, and the parties will attempt to secure community funding for those facets of the fields. <br /> <br /> d. If the bids come in higher than the estimates set forth above, the County and the <br /> <br />City will share in the additional costs in the same proportion each is contributing pursuant to <br />subsections 5.a. and 5.b. If, however, either City or County determines that the bid is so much more <br />than expected as to make the financial commitment impractical, that party may elect to terminate its <br />commitment, and/or the parties will attempt to consider other alternatives. <br /> <br /> e. If the bids come in lower than the estimates set forth above, the City and the <br /> <br />County will have a decreased commitment in proportion to the contributions set forth in subsections <br />5.a. and 5.b., above. <br /> <br /> 6. Payment for Maintenance of Fields. <br /> <br /> a. The County of San Marco will be responsible for the cost of maintaining the <br /> <br />playing fields at Garfield School. In this connection, it is anticipated the County will contract with the <br />City to perform this service or to subcontract for maintenance. <br /> <br /> b. The City witl be responsible for the cost of maintenance and will maintain the <br />fields at Taft School. <br /> c. The parties hereto acknowledge that, for reasons unrelated to inadequate <br /> <br />maintenance, either of the fields may, over time, deteriorate to a point that maintenance becomes <br />uneconomical, and repair and replacement of the fields or facilities becomes advisable. In the event <br />either City or County concludes that ekher field should be repaired or replaced, the parties shall in good <br />faith, meet to discuss the options of repair or replacement and shall attempt to reach agreement as to <br />whether the field should be repaired or replaced, and an agreement as to equitable sharing of costs of <br /> <br /> 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
