RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY APPROVING A CONTRIBUTION AGREEMENT <br /> WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR HIGHWAY 101 <br /> BICYCLE PATH-RECYCLED WATER LINE COST SHARE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as part of an overall lane widening project, the State of California <br />Department of Transportation (CalTrans) plans to construct a bicycle path adjacent to <br />Highway 101 between the Whipple Avenue on-ramp and Sl[y Way frontage road; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, CalTrans has agreed to include, as part of the project, the <br />installation of a City twenty-four inch recycled water transmission line under the bike <br />path; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on January 28, 2002, the City Council authorized staff to work with <br />consultants, CalTrans and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority to conduct a <br />pre-design study of the proposed transmission line and to develop a checklist of all of <br />technical requirements, permits, constraints and potential costs associated with the <br />work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on March 11,2002, the City Council approved an agreement <br />authorizing Kennedy/Jenks Consultants to design the recycled water pipeline alignment <br />and to prepare construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates and to provide <br />support services during bidding; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to get funding approval from the California Transportation <br />Commission, CalTrans requires an approved contribution agreement with the City of <br />Redwood City. ~ <br /> <br />F:Atty/Reso/Reso.1307 1 <br />052402 <br /> <br /> <br />
