Item No. 2 (continued)
18. The major purpose aev 'ineed'by the fospital for the
Project, viz., enhancement of the Hospital's oaspetitive
position, standing alone, is not an appropriate ground for
issuing a planned development permit. Moreover, there was no
evidence that the financial well -being of the Hospital without
the Project necessarily would diainish or adversely be affected
so as to diminish values of property in the vicinity thereof, or
otherwise create a result contrary to the purposes of the Zoning
Ordinance.
19. For the foregoing reasons, appeal (1) lappeal of
Barrett) should be granted and the planned development permit
denied.
20. In light of the foregoing findings, determinations and
conclusions regarding appeal (1), appeal 12) (appeal of the
Project Proponent), relating to conditions attached to the
permit, should be denied, and this Council so finds and
concludes.
The foregoing findings, determinations and conclusions were
approved by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular
meeting thereof on March lt, 1966 by the following vote:
AYES, and in favor: Councilmen Britschgi, Greenalch.
