M /S: Stangel /Mosher <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9765 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND BRIAN- KANGAS- <br />FOULK & ASSOCIATES FOR ENGINEERING DESIGNS FOR STORM DRAINAGE <br />FACILITIES TO SERVICE THE FIFTH AVENUE DRAINAGE AREA <br />adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br />4. Employee Assistance Program agreement (OHS) (702 -02) <br />Report of City Manager and Director of Human Resources 12/12/84 <br />City Manager Smith presented the subject report, stating in response to <br />question that the proposed program was recommended by the Director of <br />Human Resources and had not been requested by any employee group. Mr. Smith <br />stated that employee use of the program is strictly confidential and no <br />reports will be made to the City other than general statistics on use. <br />Title read. Interstate Trucks (1104) <br />Report of City Manager and Director of Public Works 12/14/84 <br />Director of Public Works Addiego presented the subject report, stating that <br />cities are enacting the proposed ordinance in order to regulate the movement <br />through cities of the larger interstate trucks now allowed to operate in <br />California as a result of federal legislation. <br />In response to question, Mr. Addiego said that without the proposed regulation, <br />the trucks may use designated truck routes, stating truckers would be required <br />to pay for alterations in the roadway with regard to turning radius, curbs, etc. <br />which might be required to accommodate the vehicles, noting that the large <br />trucks are those going to terminals. <br />City Manager Smith noted that questions may arise as to the definition of <br />"terminal ". <br />In response to question, Senior Assistant City Attorney Case said that her <br />office has read the communication from the California Trucking Association <br />(CTA) stating that the proposed ordinance is not needed, but staff is following <br />Reg.Mtg. <br />1/7/85 <br />Page 3 <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 45 <br />Page No. 226 <br />
