Item No. 8 (continued) <br />In reply to questions, City Manager Smith said that the park design is now <br />before the Park and Recreation Commission which will consider the matter and <br />make recommendation to Council on the design and means of financing the <br />construction. Mr. Smith noted that $45,000 was included in the 1984 -85 <br />Budget for the park and estimated costs are now about $85,000. <br />--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />4. Water Tank Reservoir, GID 1 -64 (900 <br />Report of City Manager and Director of Public Works 2/6/85 <br />City Manager Smith presented the subject report. <br />In response to question, City Attorney Schricker described eminent domain <br />procedure, stating that negotiations for the property can continue while the <br />court action is pending. Mr. Schricker said that the City can deposit the <br />estimated fair market value of the property and take it, if necessary. <br />In response to question, Mr. Smith said that the owners of the proposed water <br />tank site do not necessarily object to selling the property, but that it is a <br />question of price. He reported that the Director of Public Works has <br />mentioned that if the reservoir is not constructed soon, it might be <br />necessary to halt further development because of the lack of water storage <br />facilities. <br />Title read.
