5. Award of contract - Roosevelt Avenue Project, Phase I
(opened 3/5) (702 -02)
Report of City Manager and Director of Public Works 3/13/85
In response to question, Director of Public Works Addiego said that although
Kennelly Construction of Colma, the apparent low bidder, has asked to
withdraw their bid because of an error where they claim to have inadvertently
entered $10,000 instead of $100,000 for traffic control, other bidders had
entered between $4 and 20,000 for that item. Mr. Addiego also said that the
background check suggests that Kennelly may not have been the lowest
responsible bidder in any case.
Concern was expressed that the traffic control portion of the project be
monitored closely in view of its importance to the neighborhood.
Title read. M /S: Chandler/Mosher
a.
