Councilmen present: Bury, Chandler, Claire, Mosher, Rhodes, Stangel and Mayor Britschgi Councilmen absent: None Officials and staff present: Smith, Schricker, Tasseff and Addiego, Schroeter, Griffiths, Mott, Duffy, O'Brien, Guardino, Reggetts PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Coucilman Chandler INVOCATION - Reverend James Anderson Messiah Lutheran Church APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Council 5/6/85 M /S: Bury /Mosher to approve the subject Minutes as submitted. Carried unanimously by voice vote. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY AND PUBLIC HEARINGS 1. Presentation to City Council by Kainos Dorothy Philbrick, Director of Kainos Home and Training Center, described the purpose and facilities of the Center, and expressed the gratitude of Kainos for the assistance given by Redwood City. Twelve residents of the Kainos triplex stood and introduced themselves, following which Diane Phillips presented to Mayor Britschgi a plaque inscribed "in grateful appreciation for assistance and support both past and present" followed by the names of the Council Members. Mayor Britschgi accepted the plaque on behalf of Council with thanks. Mrs. Philbrick invited Council to an open house on June 15, 1985, for a dedication of the fourth unit of their triplex. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- Reg.
