7.1 Council Member compensation (Addition to the Agenda) <br />(301-08) <br />Councilman Chandler, member of the Council Personnel Committee, reported that <br />California State law was changed effective January 1, 1985, to allow <br />compensation of $500 per month for City Council Members in cities of <br />50- 75,000 population. The Committee determined in its studies that Redwood 4 <br />City is well below the average in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties, and <br />therefore propose increasing City Council compensation in Redwood City to <br />$375 per month effective June 1, 1985. <br />Title read. M /S: Chandler /Rhodes <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9887 ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL, AND RESCINDING ALL RESOLUTIONS, OR PORTIONS THEREOF IN CONFLICT <br />THEREWITH <br />adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />M /S: Mosher /Stangel to waive reading of the Consent Calendar, except the <br />Ordinance title, adopt the ordinance and approve all other items. <br />Carried unanimously by roll call vote. <br />8. ORDINANCE NO. 1911 APPROVING AND ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE <br />REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT NO. 2 (GATEWAY SUB -AREA) <br />(approved at Joint Meeting of Council and Agency 12/17/84; published <br />12/26/84) adoption deferred pending receipt of tax information <br />9. Approval of warrant nos. 26904 through 27074; and authorization to make usual <br />and necessary payment of bills through June 3, 1985. APPROVED <br />10. MOTION: to reject claim of C.F.
