Oral Communications (continued)
3. Bill Chambers, 775 E1 Camino Real, said he was unaware of the petition, and
also objected to the change in the parking limit in that block.
Councilman Claire advised that the Parking Committee was unanimous in its
recommendation, because the businesses needed turnover, and did not want long
term parking.
4. William J. Hines, 882 Main Street, indicated that he finds the taxicab
service unsatisfactory, that patrons of his bar sometimes must wait an hour
or more for cab service, and that at times he is unable to get a cab at all.
He thought the City should have a larger number of taxicabs.
At the request of Mayor Britschgi, City Manager Smith advised he will obtain
a list of taxicab companies serving the City.
MEMO 6/7/85
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - --
REPORTS OF BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES
6.
