Public Hearing - Statement of expenses for removing <br />structure, 35 Hazel (702 -11) <br />Report of City Manager and Building Official 5/30/85 <br />Mayor Britschgi declared the public hearing open at 8:08 p.m. <br />Mayor Britschgi invited anyone present who wished to speak to do so. No one <br />wished to speak. <br />M /S: Bury /Claire to close the public hearing. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote and public hearing closed at 8:09 p.m. <br />Title read. M /S: Rhodes /Mosher <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9930 CONFIRMING ABATEMENT EXPENSE STATEMENT AND ORDERING <br />COLLECTION ON TAX ROLL PERTAINING TO ABATEMENT OF DILAPIDATED STRUCTURE <br />LOCATED AT 35 HAZEL STREET <br />Building Official Malkemus advised in reply to question by Council that he is <br />required by the Code to maintain exact records of expenses in connection with <br />abatement proceedings, and that the costs for demolition and for moving and <br />storage of goods the owner comprise the amount of the lien; that ample <br />time was given the owner to remove her possessions, but when the time came <br />for the demolition contractor to begin, there were still some items <br />remaining, and the City was authorized by the owner to have them moved and <br />stored. He advised that in addition to the charges shown in the report, <br />there was a subsequent billing of $25.00 just received, which must be added <br />to the total shown. <br />Senior Assistant City Attorney Case stated that the resolution will be <br />amended to reflect the correct amount of the lien. <br />Resolution adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />6. Public Hearing - Statement of expenses for removing <br />structure - 612 Jefferson (702 -11) <br />Report of City Manager and Building Official 5/30/85 <br />In reply to question by Mayor Britschgi as to whether it would be possible <br />to amend the code to allow extending the time requirements for payment of the <br />liens over a period of years, currently applied to the next year's tax roll, <br />Ms. Case suggested it might be well to determine whether this would be <br />acceptable to the County, also that the normal procedure is as set forth in <br />the City's Code, but that she will research the point and report back to <br />C o u n c i l . <br />MEMO 7/18/85 <br />Mayor Britschgi declared the public hearing open at 8:13 p.m. <br />Mayor Britschgi invited anyone present who wished to speak to do so.
