Public Hearing - Application to rezone property located at 21 Laurel Street <br />from PO (Professional Office) District to CP (Commercial Park) District - <br />Mike Glad, George Ucce11i et al, applicant (203 -02) <br />Planning Commission record transmitted 12/9/83 <br />Affidavits of Publication of Notice of Hearing and of Mailing on file. <br />Planning Director Schroeter presented the record and reported that the <br />proposed use of the property is for a Midas Muffler Shop. <br />Mayor Stange] declared the public hearing open at 9:24 p.m. <br />Mrs. Tammy Jasper, 36 Laurel, stated she and other neighbors oppose the use <br />of the subject property for a garage type use because of heavy traffic and <br />noise and the possibility of increase in traffic accidents. <br />It was pointed out that the vacant property is presently being used for some <br />apparently undesirable purposes by persons selling merchandise out of trucks, <br />etc. <br />Councilman Biagi stated for the record that it should be noted that the only <br />subject before Council at this time is the application to rezone the subject <br />property and that no plan for its use is under consideration. <br />Mike Glad, applicant and owner of Midas Muffler shops, including the one <br />located on E1 Camino Real which must move, presented slides of the kind of <br />Reg.Mtg. <br />1/9/84 <br />Page 6 <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 44 <br />Page No. 319 <br />
