<br />Richard Kirchner, 750 York Street, San Francisco, architect for <br />Boardwalk Volkswagon, described rehabilitation and landscaping plans <br />for the building. <br /> <br />Bob Kissick, 10 Skywood Way, Woodside, President of Boardwalk <br />Volkswagon, reported that Nicholas Dempsey of Safeway had called <br />today, but they have had no time to discuss plans for the property. <br /> <br />Jamie Kopf, Vice President, Boardwalk Volkswagon, stated he had filed <br />plans for the building. In response to question, Mr. Kopf indicated <br />he would expect to sell new and used automobiles on about a "30 new <br />40 used" basis; that he would be willing to agree to consider <br />consolidation of his project with the Safeway group development; and <br />that he expects to close escrow this week. <br /> <br />Mr. Schricker described the nature of a participation agreement and <br />stated that no exclusive right to negotiate agreement has been <br />requested. <br /> <br />Dorothy Philbrick, 3641 McNulty Way, Director, Kainos Home, reported <br />receiving financial and other assistance for the Training Center from <br />Mr. Kissick and urged he be given all consideration possible. <br /> <br />In response to question, Planning Director Schroeter confirmed that <br />new car sales only are allowed in the Commercial Business District <br />which is the present zoning of the subject property. Mr. Schroeter <br />also described certain conditions placed upon a use permit and <br />architectural permits for remodeling issued in another redevelopment <br />area which spell out the recognition of that fact and the possible <br />effects of future development according to plan there. <br /> <br />Donald Maynor, attorney representing Boardwalk Volkswagon, said his <br />client was not aware that only new cars could be sold on the subject <br />Commercial Business District site.
