Presentation on the Compost Study Project by
representative of the Conservation & Environmental
Health Committee and Cal Recovery funding proposal
(305 -04)
Bill Dunn, consulting engineer, Woodside, Chairman of the Conservation &
Environmental Health Committee acknowledged the assistance of Director of
Parks and Recreation Griffiths in the subject project, commented on the large
horse population of the County, and described the background relating to the
establishment of the project. Mr. Dunn said that private funds are probably
available for a program but that a $2,000 study is required, suggesting that
contributions of some $200 each from Redwood City, Atherton, Menlo Park,
Portola Valley and Woodside could be added to a $1,000 contribution to be
requested from the County to pay for the study.
Reg.
