Bartels, Building <br />Inspector, of 7/9/81 re 320 Fuller Street conditions <br />City Attorney Schricker called attention to the document entitled "Timeline" <br />distributed by S.L. Berlin during the meeting, and Mr. Malkemus stated that <br />his recollections of communications with Mr. Berlin were not completely as <br />stated. <br />Fire Prevention Officer Ornelas reported that his experiences with the _ <br />conditions in some of the buildings date to June 1980, stating that his <br />office initiated the inspections after receiving a fire call in November <br />1983. Mr. Ornelas reported on complaints regarding police citation and <br />conviction of a tenant for activities relating to auto repair and painting at <br />one residence under extremely dangerous conditions, stating the tenant was <br />still doing auto repairs there in January. <br />Mr. Ornelas presented slides of the conditions of the subject properties and <br />stated he will provide a list of addresses and recitation of the conditions <br />at each address to the City Clerk for the record. MEMO 5/10/84 <br />Mayor Britschgi declared the public hearing open at 9:07 p.m. <br />Isaac Goodman, one of the property owners, reported the properties are <br />scheduled to be sold and arrangements will be made to tear down the buildings <br />as soon as the sale is completed. In response to questions, Mr. Goodman <br />acknowledged that the sale is dependent upon the new owner obtaining approval <br />for his proposed development, but stated that he will know whether the sale <br />will be completed within two weeks, and urged a 30 -day extension be granted <br />to determine the status of ownership. <br />In response to questions, City Attorney Schricker said that if the proposed <br />resolution is adopted, the property owner will have a 30 -day period in which <br />to demolish the buildings or restore them. <br />Reg.
