Stange[ Veterans Memorial Senior Center <br />Budqet Study Session <br />The Council of the City of Redwood City met on this date in a Budget Study Session <br />at 9:00 a.m., Mayor Britschgi presiding. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Councilmen present: Bury, Chandler, Claire, Mosher, Rhodes, Stangel, and <br />Mayor Britschgi. <br />Councilmen absent: None <br />Officials and staff present: Smith, Schricker, Tasseff, Hildebrand, and all <br />Department Heads and other department representatives. <br />PROPOSED ANNUAL BUDGET 1984 -85 <br />Documents: Proposed Annual Budget 1984 -85 <br />Five Year Capital Improvement Program 1984 -1989 <br />Green Binder containing reports highlighting issues and providing <br />background information <br />Report of City Manager re Budget Size 5/29/84 <br />City Manager Smith presented the budget message and Finance Director Tasseff and <br />Assistant Finance Director Becker presented overheads depicting revenue <br />projections with graphs indicating income and purchasing power for 1981 -86. <br />Mayor Britschgi stated that Council will review the proposed Budget in accordance <br />with previous procedure, discussing, commenting, and asking questions on the <br />programs in the order presented and considering them approved after consideration, <br />if no changes are made. <br />OPERATIONS PROGRAM <br />HUMAN SERVICES (pp 1 -5) <br />Director of Human Resources Irizarry referred to proposed assistance to human <br />service agencies, noting that services to the Veterans Senior Center are included <br />in the budget of the Park and Recreation Department, while the Fair Oaks Senior <br />Center is operated differently, because of its social service nature and the <br />involvement of other jurisdictions in its funding. <br />Budget Study Session <br />6/9/84 <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 45 <br />Page No. 33 <br />
