Public Hearing - Abatement of Public Nuisance - <br />Building at 851 Brewster, Alisal Land Co., Menlo Park <br />(continued closed from 5/7/84) (702 -11) <br />Report of City Attorney 6/7/84 <br />William Conklin, 275 Ridgeway Road, Woodside, President of Alisal Land Co., <br />stated he was willing to enter into an agreement with the City to have the <br />City raze the subject building and be reimbursed later, but that a basement <br />has been discovered which could create a hazard if the building is removed. <br />Mr. Conklin said he is moving as quickly as possible toward developing the <br />site at which time the present building would be removed. <br />In response to questions, Mr. Conklin and City Manager Smith said that the <br />property will be monitored to avoid creation of a public nuisance pending <br />development. <br />M /S: Chandler /Stangel to terminate proceedings with regard to abatement of a <br />public nuisance with regard to the building at 851 Brewster at this time and <br />that the Planning Department is requested to review the status of development <br />proceedings of Alisal Land Co. for the property and report to Council in 45 <br />days. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. Public Hearing - Petition by homeowners of Farm Hill <br />Vista Homeowners Association that in accordance with <br />California Vehicle Code Section 21107.7 an ordinance be <br />adopted to permit the Police Department to enforce <br />parking regulation on private property (1104 -01) <br />Report of City Manager and Chief of Police 5/10/84 <br />Affidavit of Mailing is on file <br />Jean Borg, 4008 -204 Farm Hill Boulevard, President of Farm Hill Vista <br />Homeowners Association, urged adoption of the proposed ordinance. <br />Larry Nichols, 4016 -301 Farm Hill Boulevard, Board member of the Homeowners <br />Association, inquired as to whether cars may be towed that block access and <br />was advised that the proposed ordinance includes that provision. <br />Mayor Britschgi invited anyone else present who wished to speak to do so.
