2. At the request of Mayor Britschgi, City Clerk Hildebrand reviewed her report <br />of July 19, 1984, on the cost of the Special Annexation Election held on <br />April 10, 1984. <br />3. Councilwoman Mosher reported that Redwood City has been selected as a model <br />for the International City Manager Association Hispanic Youth Employment <br />Program and that she has been invited to the I.C.M.A. meeting on the subject <br />in Miami, at the I.C.M.A. expense, August 1 -4, 1984. <br />4. Councilman Claire called attention to the Report of the City Manager of <br />7/18/84 regarding a high school sports program and inquired as to the status <br />of discussion. <br />City Manager Smith said the City has been discussing the matter with the <br />School District, but a question and answer session is all that has been <br />held. <br />City Attorney Schricker noted that there is considerable doubt as to whether <br />the kind of program being suggested by the District is legally possible. <br />Councilman Rhodes suggested the School District should pursue obtaining funds <br />for school sports programs through the State. <br />5. Councilwoman Mosher, Chairman of the Legislative Committee announced the next <br />meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 7, 1984, in the City <br />Attorney's office.
