M /S: Stangel /Mosher to reject claim of California State Automobile
Association for James Giles.
MINUTE ORDER NO. 84 -131
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - --
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
18. Letter from Edward C. Mills, Peninsula Office Supply,
requesting street name change from Kliklok Way to Mills
Way (301 -08)
City Manager Smith noted for the record that the former name of the street
was Mills Way.
Edward Mills, Peninsula Office Supply, said he has purchased the property
which belonged to the Kliklok Company and finds the name difficult and
meaningless now that the Company has moved. He noted that he is new to the
area and is not related to the Mills family for whom the street was
originally named.
City Attorney Schricker advised that State and City requirements with regard
to street name changes will be investigated and report made to Council, if
Council wishes to make the change.
There being no objection, Mayor Britschgi referred the request to staff to
proceed with the necessary steps to make the requested name change.
MEMO 7/30/84
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - --
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
None
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - --
GENERAL
1.
