Request of Supervisor John M. Ward that City Council <br />consider formal action to support the County's <br />application for conditional lease of 19 acres of <br />watershed land adjacent to proposed golf course site on <br />Edgewood Road. (301 -07) <br />Susan Sommers, 555 Hillcrest Way, read her statement in opposition to the <br />request of Supervisor Ward and urged Council to take no action. (The <br />statement is on file in the City Clerk Department) <br />M /S: Stangel /Bury to urge the Public Utilities Commission to grant the <br />County's application for conditional lease of 19 acres of watershed land <br />adjacent to the proposed golf course on the Edgewood property. <br />Discussion followed and Ms. Somers replied to questions and commented <br />concerning the nature of the "conditional lease" for which application was <br />made and whether or not the subject request to Council for support is <br />premature. <br />MOTION WITHDRAWN: Councilman Stangel withdrew his motion at this time with <br />the request teat someone from the County appear before Council at the next <br />City Council oeeting on October 15, 1984, with maps of the subject area and <br />information concerning the nature of the conditional lease so that Council <br />may be bette^ informed regarding the requested action. <br />MEMO (10/12/84) <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />22.
