2. Mayor Britschgi advised of having received a letter from the United Way of <br />the Bay Area, asking that the Council investigate and possibly take a stand <br />on Propositions 36 and 41 (on the November 6 ballot). He noted that the <br />Legislative Committee had already reported on Proposition 36 and that the <br />Council has taken a position of.opposition. <br />Discussion followed regarding Proposition 41 and Council indicated a <br />preference not to take a position without an opportunity to more thoroughly <br />study the measure. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />None <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />M/ S: Chandler /Rhodes to adjourn to Executive Session for the purpose of <br />considering personnel matters and to reconvene solely to adjourn. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote and Council adjourned to executive session at <br />8:16 p.m. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the City Council adjourned at <br />8:40 p.m. <br />FRANCES I.
