He reported that many accepted
the City's offer to provide sandbags and some 4000 bags were provided for
use on private property and that in some areas, residents helped by
removing debris from drains, and the City crews picked it up for dis-
posal. Mr. Addiego noted the need for the planned Fifth Avenue Pump
Station project.
Bonnie Miller, 1224 Fifth Avenue, reported that her property was flooded
by eight inches of water at midnight Sunday during low tide and suggested
pumps were not working. Mr. Addiego advised that no pumps were out, but
debris could have caused the flooding, stating he will investigate the
situation.
Luann Rocklewitz, 3142 Hoover, reported her property was flooded again and
asked for City assistance with regard to preventing people from driving on
the street and creating waves which destroy property. Discussion followed
concerning arrangements to insure that street barricades are immediately
available during storms.
Reg.Mtg.
1/24/83
MINUTE BOOK NO. 44
Page No. 46
