Carried unanimously by voice vote. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY AND PUBLIC HEARINGS 1. Presentation of Resolution of Retirement to Alfred M. Cain of the Public Works Department Vice Mayor Britschgi declared RESOLUTION NO. 9319 COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING ALFRED M. CAIN ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT adopted unanimously by consensus. Vice Mayor Britschgi presented a framed parchment copy of RESOLUTION NO. 9319 to Roy McIntee who represented Mr. Cain who was unable to be present. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- 2. Arbor Day - presentation of Tree City, U.S.A. Award Ralph Alworth, Jr. of the State Division of Forestry presented a plaque and a TREE CITY USA flag on behalf of Governor Deukmejian, the National Arbor Day Foundation and the Division of Forestry.
