Council requests to attend meetings, if any <br />Request of Councilmen Claire, Mosher and Bury to attend the Progress <br />Seminar of the Chamber of Commerce at Monterey, May 13 - 15, 1983. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 83 -46 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS <br />12. Petition from some 125 residents of Roosevelt Road area <br />petitioning for budget funds to be allocated for <br />repaving of Roosevelt Avenue. <br />M /S: Biagi/Mosher to refer the subject petition to the budget study <br />sessions for 1983 -84 for consideration of establishment of priority. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. MINUTE ORDER NO. 83 -47 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS - None <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />GENERAL <br />1. Councilman Biagi asked City Attorney Schricker for an opinion as to <br />whether it is legally proper for a member of the Planning Commission to <br />testify at a City Council public hearing on a matter on which the <br />Commissioner has voted in his quasi - judicial position as a member of the <br />Commission, suggesting that a moral conflict exists, even if a legal <br />conflict does not. (memo 3/22/83) <br />2. Councilman Claire called attention to the report that Charlie Grier of <br />Evergreen Savings has volunteered to serve in the vacant position on the <br />Housing and Human Concerns Committee which has been open since the <br />resignation of C. J. Lucot. <br />M /S: Claire /Biagi to thank Charlie Grier for his willingness to serve and <br />to appoint him to the vacancy on the Housing and Human Concerns Committee, <br />effective immediately. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. MINUTE ORDER NO. 83 -48 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />M /S: Biagi/Mosher to adjourn to executive session and to reconvene solely <br />to adjourn.
