Item No. 4 (continued) <br />M /S: Bury/Mosher to refer the subject report and proposed ordinance to <br />staff for discussion with the various newspaper interests with whom it has <br />not yet been discussed. <br />John Clinton, San Mateo Times stated he would like to work with staff <br />with regard to placement of news racks in order to avoid adoption of a <br />formal ordinance on the matter. <br />Ron Henning, Circulation Manager, Peninsula Times Tribune, said he would <br />like to work with City staff to correct the problems with news racks <br />referred to in the Manager's report without having formal regulations <br />adopted. <br />City Attorney Schricker stated that his office would like to work with <br />representatives of the newspapers and have their ideas and suggestions for <br />improvement of the problem situations involving news racks in the City. <br />The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. Report on status of Bay Front Bicycle Path <br />Report of City Manager and Director of Public Works 4/21/83 <br />Traffic Engineer Gee presented the subject report using overhead pro- <br />jections to indicate proposed alternative locations for the path, and <br />responded to questions concerning details. <br />Don Warren, President, South Shores, <br />viewed the content of his letter of <br />Works Addiego, copies of which were <br />meeting. <br />Inc. 350 Marine World Parkway, re- <br />April 25, 1983 to Director of P u b l i c <br />distributed to Council at the <br />M /S: Mosher /Bury to accept the staff recommendation in the subject report <br />and endorse the Bay Front Bicycle Path program and continue to support <br />staff efforts to establish the regional bike path. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 83 -64 <br />Wim De Wit, 1514 Mitchell Way, inquired as to whether bicycle bridges <br />would cross navigable water.
