Item No. 2 (continued)
In response to question of City Manager Smith as to whether Lincoln would
consider deeding to the City a portion of the area outboard of the levee,
once title is transferred, Mr. Levin replied that Lincoln would consider
it.
(Councilman Claire arrived at 7:58 p.m.)
Bob Hoffman, Harcross Road, suggested a survey of the water and land
involved might be necessary and said that the City originally negotiated
the gift deed to provide additional channel width. Mr. Hoffman stated
that he believed the subject item might provide an opportunity to consider
the question of private ownership of navigable waterways, but the City
Manager's question to Mr. Levin relating to consideration of deed
satisfies his present concerns, and he has no objections to the proposed
actions.
M /S: Title read.
